Genesis Security launched the nation’s first free community patrol program in Kerrisdale in 2005, and it has since expanded steadily. The program’s size tripled three years after it began, and now, twelve years later, it has appropriately grown to encompass all establishments, both residential and commercial, between UBC and Granville Street. In addition, Genesis purchased environmentally friendly hybrid electric/gas cars with the intention of lowering the amount of pollutants that are released onto our neighborhood streets. We collaborate closely with the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) and the Kerrisdale Oakridge Marpole Community Policing Centre (KOM CPC).

Genesis offers mobile security services with security professionals, Patrolling Security Supervisors, and Patrolling Drivers equipped with dedicated vehicles. These vehicles are outfitted with advanced surveillance equipment, covering various locations, communities, and sites within a constrained geographic area. They also respond to Community Patrol emergency calls.

• Deter criminal activity by our visible street presence. 
• Provide advice and traffic control in school zones. 
• Help anyone in need.
