CAMIL DUBUC

CEO / Founder

Originally from Montreal, Camil Dubuc is a natural leader and entrepreneur. Since founding Genesis Security in1997, Camil has guided his team with a well-defined vision of the company’s future. He has built a strong culture by clearly articulating goals, values, and behaviours, ensuring they are consistently applied from top to bottom and across all departments. As President / CEO, he oversees the operations of the company, including financial and human resource decisions, to ensure Genesis delivers on its promise to clients.

Camil’s empathetic, open, and optimistic approach motivates his team and instills confidence in clients. With his extensive experience and by pursuing calculated risks, he has successfully grown Genesis from scratch into one of the top five security firms in British Columbia. He acknowledges this could not have occurred without the support and dedication of a tremendous team working together, and he takes pride in his role as mentor. In addition to Genesis Security Group, Camil owns Genesis Tactical Gear Inc., Genesis Host Service Ltd., Label Productions Ltd., and he is also an Executive Producer of two movies HRT Abduction and Dead Forest under the Label Production Ltd.

Community is of great importance to Camil, and he remains an active member of The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. He also volunteers for Conseille Jeunesse Francophone de Vancouver, teaching jujutsu and archery, and is a Treasurer and on the Board of Directors for the Security Committee of the Jules Verne High School in Vancouver. In his personal time, Camil enjoys an active, healthy lifestyle, travel, photography, and film.

DAN HALBER

Vice President

Dan’s career in elite security began when he joined the United States Marine Corps at 17 years of age. He quickly transitioned into one of the Marine’s Special Operations Recon Units, where he deployed several times over the course of his five-year contract. Shortly after his retirement from the service he transitioned to private security in Canada, and there has led and developed a variety of security teams over the course of his career.

Dan has gained experience as a department head for the Security Department of high-profile casinos and as the Senior Account Manager for a major contract security company in the lower mainland. His relentless dedication to personal growth, both in his military and private career, has led to thorough training in deep reconnaissance and surveillance skills, small group leadership expertise, high level strategic planning, and the creation of detailed processes and procedures for operations teams.

His dedication to duty was exemplified by his active participation in numerous operations, and he displayed exceptional bravery when he survived a terrorist attack during a procession in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

Following his early retirement from the police service, Aamir transitioned to the private security industry in the UAE. He led and developed security teams, working with both government and private sectors, as Director, Manager, and head of departments while honing his leadership skills.

Aamir brings with him a wealth of experience and a remarkable track record that will be an invaluable asset to our organization.

STEPHEN MILLEN

VP, Marketing & Business Development

Stephen Millen’s business career spans several decades focused on marketing, sales, corporate communications, and general management. Before joining Genesis Security, he was Managing Director of Worthington Partners a corporate communications consultancy and looks forward to returning to a highly successful team-based business. Prior to that Stephen had over a decade in management with ADT Security Services Canada Inc. including six years as Vice President Marketing and Public Relations. The most satisfying aspect of his business career has been in creating, coaching, and mentoring collaborative teams.

In the Community, Mr. Millen is currently a Director and Past-President of the St. George’s Alumni Association. Stephen served as a Director of the Delta Hospital Foundation for ten years including two years as Chair. He had the privilege of an appointment as RCAF Honorary Colonel of 442 Search and Rescue Squadron from 2010 to 2015. He is a past Provincial Director of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council, a past Director of the BC Yukon Heart and Stroke Foundation and Past Chair of the Boundary Bay Air Show Advisory Board.
Stephen enjoys quality time with his extended family, loves cooking particularly if a BBQ is involved, and time spent with a good book.

AAMIR SHAHZAD

Operations Manager

Aamir started his career a police officer with the Pakistan Police department. Throughout his tenure, he served with distinction across various departments, including the National Highways Patrol, Antiriot, protocol officer to the president, prime ministers, and foreign delegations, Investigation department, and Traffic Police Warden.

His dedication to duty was exemplified by his active participation in numerous operations, and he displayed exceptional bravery when he survived a terrorist attack during a procession in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

BRYAN QUAN

Corporate Brand Director

Bryan Quan is a UBC graduate with a background in rehabilitation and marketing. His focus is to establish Genesis as a top-tier name in security services, renowned for its unwavering commitment to excellence and a culture rooted in care. Bryan has led initiatives to bolster corporate brands, including structured social media campaigns and plans for innovative approaches like meta-ads and email marketing. He designs company campaigns with their core values and ethics in mind.

Outside of his role, Bryan specializes in website development and online marketing for various businesses. Balancing professional responsibilities and personal interests is key. Bryan relies on organized schedules to dedicate quality time to family and hobbies.

CHRIS WONG

Human Resources Manager

Chris Wong directly influences the procurement, growth, and preservation of Genesis Security’s team. With over 30 years of experience in HR, both nationally and internationally, Chris provides expertise in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, health and safety, manpower planning, and HR consulting and administration.

She exemplifies the importance of building a solid team environment, communicating effectively, and developing productive relationships. Her unwavering empathy and dedication continue to directly benefit Genesis and our staff.

TAHIRA SOHAIL BARSAL

Executive Assistant to CEO / President

Tahira Sohail Barsal has joined in 2023 the team as the Executive Assistant to Camil Dubuc. With over a decade of experience under her belt, Tahira brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.

Starting her career journey over 10 years ago, Tahira has honed her skills in various administrative capacities, demonstrating her commitment and dedication every step of the way. Her exceptional organizational abilities, coupled with her keen attention to detail, have made her a valuable asset to any team she’s been a part of.

In her role as Executive Assistant, Tahira works closely with Camil Dubuc, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of his multiple businesses within the organization. Her responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and providing crucial support to the CEO. With her proactive approach and strong work ethic, Tahira plays a vital role in ensuring that the CEO’s office functions seamlessly.

Tahira’s tenure with the team may be relatively short, but her impact has already been felt across the organization. Her professionalism, adaptability, and problem-solving skills have earned her recognition among her colleagues.
